Opalite is a man-made crystal formed by heating genuine opal and fusing it with quartz sand to create an opal glass. The quartz acts as a magnifying presence while strengthening the opal into a stronger mineral and retaining it’s beautiful shine.

Opal in it’s pure form is a rare and soft crystal which retains water molecules. Due to it’s delicate and fickle nature, opal is associated with many different myths and legends. A stone that promotes intuition, creativity, compassion, following your dreams and listening to your heart.

This piece is handwoven in clear coat enameled genuine copper. The clear coat of enamel protects the copper from patina and damage. Natural patina over time may occur, any copper safe polish will restore its beautiful shine. Do not expose to water over long periods of time; this will speed up the patina process.
