Larimar is a beautiful stone only found in the Dominican Republic. Larimar was named after the daughter of the person who discovered it; Larissa combined with the Spanish word “Mar” for sea. A nickname for this beauty is daughter of the sea, although her name Larissa can be translated to Fortress. “Fortress of the Sea”

This piece is handwoven in clear coat enameled genuine copper. The clear coat of enamel protects the copper from patina and damage. Natural patina over time may occur, any copper safe polish will restore it’s beautiful shine. Do not expose to water over long periods of time; this will speed up the patina process.
